Terms & Conditions

Using Oceana County Released Inmates means accepting these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. These terms govern access to the reference content, links, and partner tools.

This privately owned site has no government, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide FCRA-covered services, and it is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Site

This is a private reference service. It stores no official Oceana County or Michigan government record. It cannot confirm custody, order a release, post bond, or file a court or agency document.

The pages point toward sheriff, jail, court, MDOC, parole, probation, federal, and immigration sources. Some pages also connect visitors with research tools run by outside providers.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use must remain lawful and must not interfere with other visitors or systems.

  • Do not violate any law while using the site.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or harm another person.
  • Do not use information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to a site, account, or network.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or automated collection without written permission.
  • Do not disrupt service or prevent another visitor from using it.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It offers no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising and search partners do not provide a screening service through this site. By using the pages, you agree not to apply their content to:

  • Hiring, firing, or another employment decision
  • Tenant selection or another housing decision
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance premiums
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections pages, courts, legal resources, federal locators, and third-party tools. A link is not an endorsement. This site is not responsible for an outside service’s content, terms, privacy practices, data handling, price, or uptime. Review the destination’s rules before using it.

Service Without Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made about:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or currentness
  • Continuous or uninterrupted access
  • Freedom from errors, defects, or security weaknesses
  • Coverage or completeness of a partner’s search results

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Oceana County, MDOC, a court, or another government office.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive harm arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the site, misuse of information, or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Oceana County Released Inmates or its content partners unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, distribute, publish, sell, or modify those materials without written permission or another lawful basis.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. A revision becomes effective when it is posted on this page. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the revised terms.

Ending or Limiting Access

Access may be suspended, limited, or revoked at any time and without notice, including when use threatens the site, violates these terms, or affects another visitor.

Michigan Law Controls

These terms are governed by Michigan law, including generally applicable state law and the Michigan Freedom of Information Act only where a government record request itself is involved. Any dispute concerning these terms must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Michigan.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

Questions About These Terms
